Welcome to Cala San Vicente

Cala San Vicente is a sleepy, traditional village on the north coast of Majorca, great for relaxing holidays enjoying sun, sand and seafood!

The picturesque village of Cala San Vicente is situated within the district of Pollensa, in the north of Majorca, about 60km (approximately 37 miles) from Palma Airport, with transfer times typically 1to 2 hours depending on mode of transport.

Cala San Vicente is a traditional Mallorcan fishing village rather than a tourist resort. The pace of life here is sedate, and well suited to those seeking peace and quiet rather than a party holiday. This is a quiet destination, ideal for relaxing in the sun, and doing nothing much at all.

Set among rugged rocky coastline with magnificent views towards the Formentor peninsula, Cala san Vicente has three small beaches, connected by paths along the clifftops.

The largest beach, Cala Barques has sunbeds, parasols and pedaloes for hire. The other two beaches, Cala Molins and Cala Clara are also popular, and all can become quite crowded in peak season.

Each sheltered cove has fine white sand gently shelving into clear sparkling water, and the area is well known as a good place for snorkelling.

Cala San Vicente has a small selection of bars, restaurants and shops catering to tourists, around the Cala Barques beach area. For dining out, there are a few excellent seafood restaurants selling the catch of the day, and a handful of bars around the village, all with a very friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Beyond this, there isn’t much nightlife in Cala San Vicente, and most live entertainment here tends to be hotel-based.

Wander around the village itself and you’ll see quaint houses and cobbled streets, a taste perhaps of times gone by.

Attractions in Cala San Vicente are few: this is a place to chill out and enjoy the peace and quiet. There is an interesting site worth a visit, a set of ancient man-made caves which date back to the Bronze Age, these are open to the public.

The resort also has a mini-golf course, and there is a street market here each Sunday morning, selling fresh local produce and crafts.

For a change of scenery, the pretty town of Pollensa is only 5km away, with Puerto Pollensa and Alcudia are also within easy reach.

Cala San Vicente is a pleasant and laid-back resort, best suited to couples or families with young children.
